Honduras is a relatively poor Central American country with large differences in welfare levels. The northern part of the country is industrial, while the agrarian south is still under development. Coffee, bananas, meat, sugar, wood and tobacco are the country’s most important export products. Primary trade partners are Europe, the United States and Japan.

Total Produce B.V. solely imports melons from Honduras via a highly reputable partner with an excellent reputation.

The export of Cantaloupe melons is primarily aimed at the U.S.A., but the product also makes its way to Europe and the Middle East. The Galia melon, on the other hand, is mainly exported to Great Britain and Europe. Climatological conditions offer a perfect follow-up of the South American melon season. This makes it possible for Total Produce B.V. to guarantee the supply of overseas melons of the highest quality for European buyers for a longer period.
